I hate this place

I really do hate this place right now.

Tonight was my year 10 formal. I had a nice dress and amazing shoes (think Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz revamped) and I put a fair amount of effort into looking good, despite the fact that the beautician fucked up my eyebrows. But the dinner was shit, it was boring and pointless. I'm not trying to be pessimistic here but it really was. Part of it is probably because I'm over tired, but whatever. My best friend and I were so excited too ha. Okay, well in my town there are like 3000 people. The whole culture of the town is to get drunk, I swear that's all people do. Year 7s drink. It's so bad. I mean, I have a drink here and there but it's not every weekend and I don't get wasted, that's just a good way to fuck your life up when you're my age.

Anyway, moving on, at the after 'party' we went downtown to my friend's shop to chill and set up some music, like we knew it was going to be shit, but not most of the people going off to smoke and be lame. God, I hate it when people need to smoke and drink and take drugs to have fun or because it's 'cool'. It's fucking not, it's kind of disgusting when you think about it, I don't care how it makes you feel.

I can't wait to move back to Sydney, I really can't. I need to get out of this rut.

Does anyone know where I can find fingerless gloves, not woollen ones, dressier ones? I've been looking for ages but they're hiding from me XD

Depressing News

Abortion pills have just been brought into Australia. They can kill a baby up to 9 weeks. Yay now we can easily murder babies just because people don't see them as human beings because they haven't technically taken their first breath. Murder is still murder. Sure some babies might be better off not ever being born than being born to their biological parents, but there's this thing called adoption! There are plenty of couples out there who can't have children and who are looking for a baby! It makes me sick to think people could murder an innocent baby just because they can't deal with their mistakes!

This is an 8 week old aborted baby. Don't tell me that's not murder.

Contemplation

This is going to sound so corny.

I was thinking the other day about butterflies. Butterflies are absolutely beautiful. It's like their job in life (besides spreading pollen). They only live for something like three fucking days, but when pretty much anyone sees them they think how beautiful they are and I was thinking about life like that. Compared to the big picture, our life doesn't last long at all, and wouldn't it be nice if people could see us, look at what we've done in our lives and think it's beautiful, or at least worthwhile. I mean, I think of people like Jeffree Star, Audrey Hepburn and even Kurt Cobain. I think that everyone has a hero and that person, no matter how small, has impacted someones life. Jeffree Star definitely makes a huge impact. Not only is he so different from anyone else, but he supports gay rights and helps people to express themselves. Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful woman, a great actress and a goodwill abassador for UNICEF. Kurt Cobain, even though he killed himself and was on drugs, wrote amazing lyrics and music that kids all over the world could and still can connect to.

These aren't my only heroes, but they are just some of the people that will be remembered forever. I don't necessarily want to be famous like them or anything, but I do want to make an impact on somebody's life in a good way, and I think we should all try to do that.

Stupid Rich People

I was watching tv the other night when the advertisement for the Custodian Wealth Builder conference thing that teaches you how to get rich came on. I'd think that being in the position where you're so rich that you're teaching people how to get rich you'd have to be pretty smart. But on the ad it says:
"Stricktly limited places only."
"Stricktly" seriously.
But as the world seems to work, some of the dumber people of our society seem to have everything, but being so rich already, and spending so much on advertising, I'd think that whoever runs the conference would be able to afford someone who can spell to do the advertising.
